Get to Know Barbara Oberstar

I was born and raised on Minnesota’s Iron Range. I graduated from Mesabi Community College with an associate of science degree and attended the University of Minnesota, Duluth, studying mathematics and chemistry. My early legal experience includes employment with the St. Louis County Attorney’s Offices in Virginia and Duluth. In 2009, I moved to the Twin Cities and eventually joined GBN Law.

For many years, I was an active volunteer with the Duluth Figure Skating Club, where my daughter trained as a competitive figure skater on the national and international levels. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, baking, antiquing, and home decorating.
